You’ll definitely want a taste of this JAM.
MINNEAPOLIS – You won’t be able to put it on your toast, but the sounds of Jazz88’s JAM High School Jazz Festival will be as smooth as butter. This Saturday, Oct. 24, Washburn, Roosevelt, South, and Southwest high schools will come together in a showcase of students’ extraordinary talent and a celebration of music education in Minneapolis Public Schools.
Jazz ensembles from each of the schools will take the stage and perform the cool, swinging, syncopated sounds that define the genre. Special guests from the JazzMN Orchestra will add their flair to the mix, kicking off what is sure to be an annual hit for Minneapolis jazz enthusiasts.
