Superintendent search finalists
MINNEAPOLIS – Tonight the Minneapolis Board of Education narrowed the list of Superintendent candidates to three finalists:
          • Charles Foust, School Support Officer for Houston Independent School District (Houston, TX)
          • Michael Goar, Interim Superintendent of Minneapolis Public Schools (Minneapolis, MN)
          • Sergio Paez, Ed.D., Former Superintendent of Holyoke Public Schools (Holyoke, MA)
On Dec. 1 – 3, these three finalists will complete additional interviews and visit schools to learn more about Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) and the work of the district’s Superintendent. Minneapolis community members — including parents, students and MPS teachers and staff — are invited to meet with candidates and ask questions during a community reception at Webster Elementary on Dec. 2 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Following these events, the Board will meet to identify and select its preferred candidate.
