MPS will begin its 2012 Parent/Guardian Survey in February. The short survey, which measures parent engagement and satisfaction, will take only a moment of your time and is available in English, Spanish, Somali and Hmong.
The information gathered through this survey is anonymous and will be used to help understand the unique strengths and opportunities for improvement at every school in the district. Results will be shared with schools and MPS leaders to help improve our schools.
You will be asked to complete a survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled. Please fill out each survey separately. If you have more than one child enrolled in the same school, you should receive only one survey for that school.
Most schools will distribute the surveys at conferences or other events. While conferences are important, we understand that parents can’t always make it. That’s why after conferences are over, each school will determine the best way to distribute the surveys to their families.
When you’re finished filling out your survey, you can return the survey directly to the school or mail it back in the pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope. The survey is paper and pencil, but you can find more information about the survey on this website. Check back! We will be posting frequently asked questions, example surveys, and more resources as they become available.
Every response we receive is valuable. If you have ever wanted to sing praise or point out areas for improvement, now is the time! The survey closes on April 30.
