Minneapolis Superintendent Selection Committee names finalists
MINNEAPOLIS – The Superintendent Selection Committee, comprised of Minneapolis Board of Education Directors, students, community members and Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) staff, interviewed a group of highly qualified Superintendent candidates and has forwarded its recommended finalists to the full Board. Those selected to be brought forward as finalists to be the next MPS Superintendent are:
          Brenda Cassellius, Ed.D.
          Commissioner of Education, State of Minnesota
          St. Paul, MN
          Ed Graff
          Superintendent, Anchorage School District
          Anchorage, AK
Interviews with finalists should be coordinated through Helen Getzkin (612.963.1311, hgetzkin@dhrinternational.com) with DHR International.
All are welcome to meet the finalists at a community reception on Monday, May 16.

On May 17, the Board will interview each of the finalists and finalize plans for site visits. Public comment will be taken Monday, May 23, starting at 5:30 p.m., and by May 27, the Board will meet to vote and approve a contract for the new Superintendent.
