Key area four: Accountability
There are accountability gaps across the organization. We need to create a positive culture, and we owe it to ourselves and our students to do our best work. We need to follow up quickly and accurately to requests, keep our commitments, and provide consistent, high-quality services. Our students, families, community and staff members also need to know who to go to for various questions and requests.
Here are the tangible steps we are taking to be more accountable:
  • Building a new leadership organizational structure aligned to the strategic plan that allows people to work more efficiently and can hold departments and schools more accountable.
  • Reviewing all departmental plans to ensure all necessary job functions and duties are assigned, appropriate resources are allocated, and necessary materials and training are provided.
  • Establishing customer service standards for the district.
