Youth Activities

Youth Activities

Youth activities are a way for the students on our community to keep their minds and bodies busy and active during the summer months.

  • Summer July/August events are available from Summer Strong partners and are free and open to the public.
  • Picturing Peace is a collaborative community engagement and photography project that explores youth violence, peace and safety, and community support for young people.
  • Hennepin County library offer one-time and ongoing classes for youth, teens and adults. Search the data base to find a program near you.
  • Minneapolis Community Education offers programs for children and teens that include enrichment, leadership development, community service, recreation, and field trips. Staff also infuses reading into activities.
  • Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers classes at neighborhood rec centers and environmental programs in the great outdoors as well as sports leagues and concerts in the parks.
  • Community Partners - explore the community agencies to partner with Minneapolis Public Schools to learn more about their programs.
