Classics (and more) to make the schoolhouse rock Thursday
 
MINNEAPOLIS – On Thursday, Edison High School will host the third annual Northeast Band Festival. The free festival will feature music ensembles from six Northeast Minneapolis schools and the Northeast community. Each band will perform up to two pieces to showcase its ensemble. 
 
For the grand finale, Superintendent Graff will take the stage as maestro of the combined band, which features all performers. In his conducting debut, Graff will lead the combined band in “Ode to Joy.”
