Theresa Battle, Associate Superintendent

Theresa has been an educator for over 25 years. Most recently, she was project director for Ramp-Up to Readiness for the College Readiness Consortium at the University of Minnesota. Ramp-Up is a school-wide guidance strategy that leads and supports junior and senior high school students through a research-based sequence of courses, projects, activities and experiences that prepare them for college success.

Previously, Theresa served as interim assistant superintendent for the Division of Leadership, Teaching, and Learning for ISD 279-Osseo Area Schools. Prior to assuming the interim assistant superintendent position in Osseo, Theresa served the students of Saint Paul Public Schools for 22 years in many capacities, including as a classroom teacher for eight years, a special education facilitator for two years, lead teacher for one year and a high school assistant principal for five years. In addition, she served as a central office administrator working as the Assistant Director of Curriculum for five years. Her last assignment in St. Paul for five years was as the principal of Highland Park Junior High School.

Theresa graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Minnesota.
