To Apply

  • Complete online application.
  • Upload a current resume.
  • Instead of a cover letter, upload your responses to the three application questions. (The questions are listed below and are also in the online application.)
    • Question 1 In 750 words or fewer describe the role you have played as an instructional leader.  Explain the goals you set, why you chose them, what you did to pursue them and the results you achieved.
    • Question 2 In 750 words or fewer explain why you feel the Aspiring Transformational Principal Academy is the right pathway for your professional growth into a school leadership position. Describe the core values and characteristics that would make you and your school successful.                    
    • Question 3 In 750 words or fewer reflect on a professional experience where you encountered a challenge leading adults. Describe what you were trying to accomplish, the challenge you faced, what you did to respond to the challenge, and finally if you could do it over again, what would you do differently.
  • Ask two professional references to complete the online recommendation form by following the instructions below:
    • Copy/paste and email the following link (http://goo.gl/forms/6sX8qTz49U) to 2-3 individuals who you’d like to provide your recommendation and request that they complete the online survey no later than February 19, 2016.
    • When you complete the online application, list the names of the recommenders you’ve contacted in the Reference #1, Reference #2, and Reference #3 fields.
    • Prior to February 19, follow up with your recommenders to make sure they completed this step. 
    • After February 19, 2016, the office of Human Capital will send any recommenders listed on your application who have not yet completed this step one reminder to do so within 24 hours. Candidates without at least two submitted recommendations by February 22, 2016 will not be considered.


For those candidates wishing to participate in the March interviews, ALL application materials must be received by Friday, February 19, 2016.  Selected candidates will be invited to interview on March 3 and 4, 2016. 
If additional interviews are necessary, candidates will be informed no later than March 18, 2016. Candidates will be informed of final selection decisions no later than April 8, 2016. If you are interested in applying, please hold the interview dates on your calendars today.
