Alternative Schools The Minneapolis Public School district is committed to providing a variety of opportunities to meet the needs of students. These programs provide a caring environment for students who need services beyond the traditional school day and during the summer to meet state and district standards. Students may be referred to alternative schools through one of the traditional Minneapolis public schools or students may choose to attend one of these schools.
